The manager was wonderful and very efficent. The facility is in a great location and extremely neat. Only wish I could access the unit 24/7 but I understand their security precautions.

Extra Frills and No Fuss

I had planned an online rental of a storage facility for an upcoming move. I had searched a number of places and made reservations at Public Storage. On the day of the planned move in, I had secured a $88 monthly fee on a 10x10, walkup, no climate control, only to have it go up on the day I went rental location. I was told that Public Storage only holds the pricing for one week before going up on the price. I was highly upset as I had seen the same location offered at a discounted rate online. When approached, it conveniently was "unavailable." My boyfriend located the Stor-It in Melrose Park, IL. Not only was it clean, drive up, secure, but climate controlled which is especially important for Chicago winters and summers. But above all the everyday price was much lower than the Public Storage - $85, I even secured a lower online special making my overall savings $75 per month. As someone who does not use storage facilities frequently, I went with a name that I knew, and ended up getting screwed with a bait and switch. I am very happy with Stor-IT and would highly recommend their facility and Sparefoot.com to any one.

I was thinking my AAA discount got me a better deal. It's new so it's clean and double gate lock to get to your unit which I like. Cameras everywhere which i like. No top cover which can allow damage from above, not a fan. Must take insurance also not a fan
