Was charged $16 for requesting move from leaky storeroom

I arrived to my storage to discover it was leaking water and back wall wax damaged ( like it was kicked in from other side), so I requested to change. Luckily there was a storeroom of same size 20x25 available. Manager on site was helpful, however, they would charge me for moving, ( before I actually even moved my stuff in). There was no recourse or option because he said ‘the system ‘ requires it. I was flabbergasted but paid because I had a lot of stuff to move I. And it was freezing cold with freezing ice rain.

I stopped pass yesterday guess they were closed which sucked lol but I did speak to someone name Mae she said she didn't work this site but still informed me on some information and about the people who did which I thought was nice beings though she was off and this was not her location..

The manager went the extra mile for me. The facility hours are the problem, otherwise I would give 5 stars. I value 24x7 access, but in most cases proximity and price will most likely determine which storage facility I will choose. I'm happy with my choice though, since you were there for me when I needed you most.

On-Site Visit

This was an awesome experience; the telephone introduction and the on-site customer services visits were exceptional and very details conscience.

Great check in on Tuesday

Great check in on Tuesday. But today when I went to move boxes, the elevator closest to my unit was broken, which I didn't find out until I was in it, darkness and all. There was not a sign on it. Very annoying, had to carry all of my boxes up the stairs or walk all of the way around the corner to another elevator. They need to fix it.

I was able to get a storage space on the spot. It was clean and in a convenient location. Price a little steep and the fact that I HAD to purchase the lock from the facility and purchase insurance whether I wanted it or not. The exit gate is broken and doesn't look like it's going to be fixed anytime soon. The drive way there is very narrow and difficult to turn large vehicles to turn back around to exit is a problem. It would be very good if that gate could be fixed as soon as possible.

Dominique was wonderful!!! This was my 1st experience with Public Storage and it was definitely a good one. She showed me the unit I would be renting and went over everything with me and I'm very satisfied with everything. Thank you Dominique for taking the time out to make sure I was completely happy with my experience!!

Review of Public Storage in Upper Darby PA

Nicole was very helpful in the office at the time that I secured the unit. She explained procedures thoroughly, and demonstrated how to use the lock on the unit. The only problem was a malfunctioning freight elevator, which necessitated the lugging of a few heavy items up one flight of steps. The storage unit itself seemed to be clean and adequate for its purpose.

Not Horrible, Not Great. Dominique is super nice and is one of the reasons I kept my locker there as long as I did but other than that, the location is disappointing. The exit door has been broken for who knows how long so the site is no longer "secure". There are no locks on the buildings themselves so anyone can walk in with a pair of bolt cutters and wander the aisles of the buildings. The freight elevator in one of the buildings is broken and "waiting for a part", no ETA on when it will be fixed was offered. They also only have 1 cart for the entire facility which is kept locked up so if the office is closed your out of luck. If someone else is using it, you're out of luck. If no one else is using it you often have to wander the halls of the building to find it. If not for Dominique it would get a 2 star. I gave the extra star for her.

Wonderful experience the staff was top notch and very helpful. Nicole was terrific She helped me and my family find the right size unit at the right price. I would truly refer my friends and family to public storage.
