Public Storage - Spring Valley - 203 New Clarkstown Road

Not happy with the facility

Everything went smoothly until we pulled up our cars to our individual car storage spaces. Neither my wife nor I could even budge the doors after many attempts on a cold, snowy day. We called the management number for help. After a long wait a nice young man came. Even he had trouble opening the doors! We were cold and angry. We were advised that on our return we should call up first so that someone can open the doors for us to drive out our cars. Doesnﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢t anybody check the doors for easy functioning, lubricating, etc?

Renting the unit was easy. I had a bit of trouble with the gate code and when I called the office, the issue was quickly resolved. My unit is an interior unit and the building has multiple entrances with plenty of outdoor space to load/unload.

Location okay, but no surveillance or climate control.

Location is okay. Not too happy with the fact that there's no camera surveillance or climate control. Also, I was offered a particular unit, and another unit was assigned upon booking. I had to wait for manager approval to switch the unit to the original one offered, which took time. Overall, rate was good, and the unit suits my needs.

the staff was friendly enough and...

the staff was friendly enough and helpful. the only thing i as dissatisfied with is the upgrade options available after you book online. I was told I cannot upgrade at web prices since I already booked a storage unit through the web. These upgrades would be at walk in rates, which is not the rate structure i received online.

Great secure place to store your ...

Great secure place to store your belongings. I appreciate that there isnt a security deposit nor do they ask for a few months paid in advance like some other storage places either! I have a huge outside drive up spot for a hundred & a half a month! The same size space at another facility is $275..i recommend anyone seeking secure, affordable storage to Public Storage! They treat you like family..truly! Thank you, Anna
