Great price and perfect location

I needed a space to store a few items for a few months. I really appreciated the online registration. I didn't have to take valuable time on moving day to fill out paperwork.

I really liked how friendly they were and they tried to give me a discount but something happened to where it they weren’t able to. I love the location an the draining system in place made me feel a lot safer leave my things with this facility. Their fence is another assurance with its piked tips. The buildings with inside units are well managed plus temp controlled. Overall great experience thanks

Extremely courteous and helpful personnel

I started out with a very customer friendly person and through out my experience with prime storage I felt all the people I dealt with were very attuned to my needs and were very very helpful.They took time to help me find the right unit that fit my needs. I was truly appreciative

mold in climate controlled unit

The facility is clean, and although it seems there are regular rate increases to our storage units, the price is still one of the most reasonable compared to other facilities nearby. The facility is secure, the manager does make a lot of effort to address our concerns. Our main concern are the regular rate increases. We have been storing there for numerous years, and we feel there are few incentives for long term renters. Secondly, we have had leakage issues in both our large storage unit and our smaller climate controlled unit which have caused us to have to file an insurance claim. Why pay for a climate controlled unit that can't even be safe from the elements? Why should I have to pay for insurance to cover what you would think you have already paid for?

Easy access

Super easy to rent online and a very convenient location right off of 17.

Great place to store your belongings.

Everyone was very nice and did not mind taking us to look at the units before we got it. It was not a long process neither.

On 3/23/2021 I had left a 1 star review for this facility. I am pleased to report that Prime Storage has since help resolve my issue with the insurance company. I don't seem to able to edit or remove my original review, so I am leaving a new follow-up 5 star review based their help escalating and resolving my issue. Please know the staff is very patient and the management cares about their customers!

Loss leader rate, beware

Storage unit perfect, access great, but a 31% rate increase after one year, seems a little excessive. I wouldn't have any customers left if I increased rates 31% a year. This unfortunately, a common practice in the storage facility industry

Continuously goes up & the benefits are going down

Since we started with Prime Storage they continue to increase prices & yet constantly are taking away all security measures. If I had someone to help me clear out the unit I would - I am very disappointed with Prime Storage

frequent price increases are excessive recertification of homeowners insurance for established tenets is an added irritant

Good and Easy

Very easy storage facility to use. BUT, parking boats, cars, and trailers in an alley and in front of the entrance to our storage becomes increasingly difficult to access when there are two cars or more. Our visits are random and during the week to avoid this traffic block

Clean facility. Good climate control, which along with cost to rent long term, is most important. Although less secure, because there are no longer code entry locks on warehouse entrance doors. Overall, a good storage facility.

The price went up with no notice. Not happy about that

Not happy about the price hike. And they charged the price even higher charging me for insurance even though I had coverage through homeowners insurance. Not good!!! And they would not refund that amount even though I brought a letter of coverage.

Clean, well kept and out of flood plain

We have had two units here, a inside climate controlled and a outside storage. The facilities are clean and well maintained and it seems to be out of the flood plain. After three big hurricanes, everything stayed dry. Especially when my outside unit is at the end of the building and next to one of the drainage ditches. My only negative is the price continues to rise, so much so we may have to move out.

Convenient and secure

Facility is clean and convenient. The security is excellent. We are very happy to have a storage unit at Prime Storage in Shallotte!
