Rented for my college student

Rented a unit online due to living about 4 hours away from facility while kiddo attends IU Bloomington ( 25 mins away) Everything was great with the paperwork and payment until a few days later(3 days) after moving everything out from the dorm into the storage unit,locked it,and drove the 4 hours home,I get a message about the lock not locking.MHTS are literally aware my lock is having issues,do you think they would have just checked it..nope. Drove 4 hours to double check the lock - it was in fact locked. Then I pay in advance because I don't want the added stress of a time allotment. Guess what,after moving everything out- kid back in school and I'm 4 hours away at home ,I get another message about how they will charge my card for the upcoming month without a photo of cleared out unit...my lesson to pass on to others is- if you don't live locally don't rent from Martinsville hometown storage unless you like taking multiple trips, wasting gas and time for something they could do called customer service.The code for the gate is a hit or a miss especially if no power to Access the app to unlock the gate,you aren't getting in. No one on site after 5 pm so if you work a 9-5 good luck actually getting ahold of someone,it's an ai system that lacks options. Just a real disappointment especially now knowing they don't actually inspect these units themselves,they rely on the customer to do the work they should be doing.

Easy move in

Booked on line. One minor hiccup with the code not working but it was handled quickly on the phone. Great value to keep my daughter’s college stuff near campus.

Easy, Available, clean and protected .

We have multiple units and the customer service at the Martinsville location is outstanding. Especially how dumb we were with the new locks. I recommend them all the time.
