    Public Storage "ROCKS!" ~ Saundra and...

    Public Storage "ROCKS!" ~ Saundra and Jessica at the Public Storage on 2nd Loop in Florence, South Carolina went beyond the call of duty to assist me in obtaining a storage unit and to even get a special (half off first months rent). The facility have the new lock system and Jessica explained and showed me how to use it properly and Saundra and I talked at least four times before I even came to the facility to make sure that everything was in order - as well as giving me a card with all of the information about my unit and how to make payments on line.

    I have 2 units at this particular facility and I've always walked away happy. The employees have been so friendly and helpful that it was unexpected and surprised me. No issues with security. Clean and well maintained. Very satisfied!

    I commend Jamerlah for her professionalism courtesy, and overall outstanding competence during our time with her at public storage. She is a managers dream.     Melissa was very kind, prompt and helpful. So was her manager, Sean Marker and another representative Taylor. If you are looking for a place to store, this is the place to go to because they have good prices and good customer service. period. Stuff like this always makes a customer's day brighter. Very good store!

    Ms Jameelah was persistent as one can be with great professionalism. She is performing her duties with the absolute best intention of making the business as much money as she can yet she is also courteous, friendly and knowledgable in every facet I had for her. I tested her out with many questions and she was on point exactly. An employee such as her is very hard to come by these days. Her attributes are natural and very rare in combination. Just to be clear, I have never met Ms. Jameelah before my scheduled appt. I don't want my praise to be undermined. I am merely a consumer that noticed her great qualities.

    Bumpy start but smooth sailing since then.

    I went online and found some great deals. When I called, I was talking to someone in California. Evidently, corporate keeps a tight rein on rates and changes them on a dime depending on availability. One thing that's confusing is it shows a sale rate based on the normal rate, but then the next day the normal rate jumped by 14 dollars! I was looking at a very small unit, but in the end, because of specials, I was able to rent a larger space for less money. After reserving a space online I visited the location and the individual I dealt with was pretty snotty and had a lot of attitude. I found out later there were lots of little details he left out. The price I was quoted in writing on the computer ended up being higher at the unit because I was forced to purchase a lock. I specifically asked if I had to buy there lock and given an evasive answer that the lock was at the office. Turns out I could have provided my own (available at Home Depot for less than half of what they charged me -- the clerk who told me this said they get cussed out all the time over this issue). Also, I took the lock with me and when I returned with my first load two days later found my unit locked and I couldn't access it. Turns out they put a lock on any empty unit. Gee, why didn't you tell me that when I was there and I would have put my lock on immediately. My initial encounter with Roderick had me rethinking my decision. But the other two encounters I've had with the office at my unit have been wonderful with friendly, customer oriented employees who were very helpful. Since everyone else has been super friendly, I'm chalking it up to Roderick having a bad day. Otherwise, everything's been great.
