Everyone hates moving. It's a rule and a fact of life, but whenever it comes around I surprise myself by how very much I hate and dread moving. This time was no different, but I was put to ease by how easy it was to rent a unit. I first called and to my delight found out that if you're moving your belongings to Uncle Bob's, they will lend you a 14ft truck for free. Already saving money. When I arrived, Cameron was waiting for me, remembered my name from an earlier phone call and politely showed me the available units that would be the perfect size for my belongings and would be the easiest and fastest to move into. On top of that, she found me a special deal where I get my second month free. Wow, so I used a moving truck for free ($75-100 value), and get next month free ($105 savings). I like it. The next day when I moved my belongings in, John greeted me to help facilitate my move in and answered questions I had. He was incredibly helpful and provided great customer service. I've used a storage unit before in Atlanta so I know what you get with most companies. Uncle Bob's on 14th is a place that I will use again, and recommend to anyone else. One last detail I found pretty cool- in the storage areas they play either NPR or a program similar from Sirius XM. It was pretty neat to hear world news and then about the rise of bebop jazz.
