great location, price, security, multiple loading docks for trucks. employees are SLOW - plan for 60 minutes on youur first visit. only have good things to say except that it took 60 minutes to get access to my unit - even though i had reserved it online and called ahead of time. I have movers being paid by the hour waiting to unload my stuff - who were just sitting there for an hour while i waiting for them to get the paperwork finished. otherwise everyone was nice and polite.

there were a lot of hidden charges. if insurance is required put that cost in the the unit. also tell customers a lock is required

The young man that took my order in person was very nice and patient. I had put a hold on a unit and he demonstrated the size before we saw the actual unit. Turned out that I need a bigger size unit. We had to look thru a few units, I saw one size and changed my mind and instead of making me walk thru the building, he took the lock and key and put it on the correct unit that I needed. Thanks!

Had a great experience reserving and moving into a unit at the R St CubeSmart. Staff was refreshingly friendly and helpful, offered me coffee, gave a tour of the facility, let me look at several units to find one I liked, etc. etc. I've only had storage units that are "drive-up" so I wasn't sure what to expect from a multi-level building. Everything was fresh and clean. And it was not really an inconvenience to get my things to the upper floors. They have an indoor loading dock (a big help because it was raining and cold), big rolling carts and large elevators. Would recommend to anyone looking for storage in DC.
