Fast and easy setup

Getting setup was easy, and all my questions were answered with no hesitation. The site is clean and the storage unit is exactly as described. It feels safe and I am confident our stored items are secure.

Secure, clean, and friendly staff

There was only one negative thing about my experience and that was the "insurance". Granted I understand that insurance is necessary or even required, however when reserving the unit there should have been something written somewhere about requiring it. Also when I spoke to a representative from Life Storage there was no mention of it. I was informed the day of move in and honestly was a little taken back with the prices of the 2 choices I had. I chose the lowest coverage of up to $4000 for an additional $14 every month. So my $48 unit is now a $65 unit every month.

Life Storage made it easy for us to estimate the size of the unit needed, complete the contract and move in. The price for a climate controlled storage unit was also very reasonable.

Move from beachside to Debary storage

This storage unit needs some work... the unit itself was clean and the space between the buildings were a little small. There are quite a few that had been taken out by fire damage. I felt it could have been a little cleaner (the facility in general) The office was clean and tidy. The associate was very nice and helpful. She had a difficult customer on the phone, I could tell when I arrived She handled the customer professionally was a little short but handled their questions effectively I could tell by the look on her face that customer was not nice at all. I felt the facility was older but decent for the price.

Bad customer service

Never used Life storage but needed to move some furniture quickly as it was getting late. Normally I go with Uhaul storage but Life storage was closer to my house.The older guy that help me was awesome great customer service & set up was great facility looks clean.. After getting my storage unit I got ready to started moving my items in as I opened up the unit & click on the lights I discovered 3 roaches on the floor in the unit I was about to put my valuables in!!! It was house roaches!!! Not sure if it was coming from another unit next to the one I was about to use but they where there so I click the light off & call the next day to cancel my contract spoke with a representative & told them about why I was canceling due to the unit having roaches & she agreed to refund me the money I spent wasn’t much but couldn’t refund me the administration fee as if it’s my fought that there storage unit have roaches!!! I’ve been in customer service all my life & that’s not how you handle situation with you’re customers!!! So pretty much I got charged a fee for wanting to used there service which I would have had it not been for the roaches in the unit!!! Me personally if a customer used my service & pay & there not abled to use my service on the behave of my company not being abled to deliver such service I would apologize & refund all of there money & see if there’s any way I could make them feel good about using my service again or think about my service when there making a decision or telling a friend when the next time there needing service in my field....How someone review your company is the reputation u carry in business!!! This is someone that’s never wrote a review but it’s time for company’s to do better!!!
